Jake grew up in a family that has raced dirt his whole life. His father is a great competitor in local racing, and his grandfather also raced. Jake started driving Young Gun classes in 4 cylinders at the age of 12 at local dirt tracks. He was very successful, so moved right into competing against his dad and other men in the Crate Sportsman divisions at 13 years old. He once again had lots of success, winning many races against veteran dirt drivers, including his own father. Jake then moved up to 602 Late Models and was extremely competitive. At this time, he has 29 career wins. He is currently running super late models across the southeast, from North Carolina to Florida. Jake won in his super debut at Laurens Speedway with the Carolina Clash Super Late Models. His goal is to race super late models full time for a team in the World of Outlaws or Lucas Oil divisions.
