They may not be considered the "Cornhusker Kids" anymore, but the two are back together again! After going in different directions following the 2001 season, the potent pair reunited, making Don Droud, Jr. the wheel-man for the Mark Burch Motorsports #1M. Running an abbreviated schedule in 360's, then turning their attention to capture a split Championship in the USAC Midwest Wingless Racing Association in 2020, the two have been partnering in Midgets, Winged 360's, Non-Winged and Winged 410's over the past three years...and are ready tor more.
Don's career has spanned almost five decades, and he boasts over 85 wins in that time. Don has won with the wing and without, in 360 and 410 sprint cars, and in midgets.
Don was the first man to record a lap here under fifteen seconds and held the Knoxville one-lap track record for almost seven years (1998-2005) at 14.934.
